has a full range of services. Although the focus of the operation is family fun and fishing, the store is, by trail standards, large and very well-stocked -- markedly better than its counterpart at Mazama Village. Run by one of the most friendly store operators we've met anywhere on the trail.

South Shore Picnic area on Diamond Lake has 5 hiker/biker campsites.

UPS

-send package here!

Or get ride into Bend for full resupply?

"Big Lake does accept boxes through Sept. and Oct. - however - it's more difficult to trake someone down during this time. We only have about 5 people who live at camp during the off-season and unlike the summer, no one is regularly in the front office. If you can't find anyone...wander around camp and find either the shop or the lodge and someone should be accessible. It's easier to find people on the weekends than it is during the week.

UPS is the best and be sure to put your name, that you're a PCT hiker, and your estimated date of arrival." Jillany from Big Lake Youth Camp (Feb 2009)

Ask for hiker box.
